Cost protection & optimization
Limits are saved here but not enforced yet — enforcement lives on the AI Content generation page (next up), where actual batch runs happen. That page is also where you'll see the estimated price for a run before it starts.
Optimization
How many products get batched into one generation cycle. 10–20 is a reasonable default.
Truncates the source text fed into the Short description prompt, so a huge long description doesn't inflate that call's cost.
E.g. title + short description + meta title + meta description in a single call instead of four.
Skips products whose content is already generated and still fresh, so a re-run doesn't pay for the same fields twice.
Separate, cheaper mode for non-urgent bulk runs — lands with the AI Content generation page.

Products in these supplier categories never get AI content generated at all — useful for low-value accessories/consumables where a full description isn't worth it (e.g. drill bits, saw blades, chains). Checked when the product list gets classified — nothing here gets marked "pending" in the first place.
No supplier categories found yet — run "Get product list" on Products first.
Create products
Generated in the same request as Long description (no extra search call). Rendered as a native accordion after the description, and — if Rank Math is active — the same Q&A data is used to add FAQPage schema automatically. If there isn't enough reliable information about the product, FAQ is left empty rather than invented — an empty FAQ is a normal outcome, not a failure.

Update products usually off
Turn on temporarily to backfill content on already-imported products.
Mirrors the Create card above — same fields, sources, models, and prompts, applied to matched products instead.
Protects hand-written text on the site — decides whether a generated field is actually allowed to replace what's currently on the product. Applies only to the real product update sync (cron/Run Import) — it has no effect on manual actions taken on the AI Content page (Regenerate selected, Retry failed, etc.).
